National Health Center Week takes place from August 4-10, 2024. This weeklong event highlights the important role that Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) play in improving the health and well-being of underserved communities. FQHCs are community-based clinics that offer primary care services in medically underserved areas. FQHCs address critical health disparities, promote preventive care, and remove barriers to affordable healthcare services. Fidelis Care's partnerships with FQHCs are essential to achieving our mission. August is National Breastfeeding Month. MOMMAS House works with the Breastfeeding Resiliency, Engagement, and Empowerment (BFREE) Team through Northwell Health to develop policies and procedures to help breastfeeding and chestfeeding clients and employees.

Fidelis Care partnered with Rochester Regional Health (RRH) to bring its Mobile Mammography Center to the FIGHT Village Apartments in Rochester. Fidelis Care invited women from across the neighborhood to receive no-cost mammograms.

Testicular cancer is a growth of cells that starts in the testicles. Testicular cancer is not very common. It can happen at any age, but it happens most often between the ages of 15 and 45. Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among men aged 20 to 39 years. Non-Hispanic White men, Native American men, and Alaskan Native men are more likely to be diagnosed with testicular cancer.
