Fidelis Care proporciona $315,000 para combatir la inseguridad alimentaria en el estado de Nueva York

Fidelis Care, un plan de salud estatal con más de tres millones de miembros en el estado de Nueva York y una subsidiaria de propiedad total de Centene Corporation, anunció la distribución de $315,000 en subvenciones a veinte organizaciones dedicadas a combatir la inseguridad alimentaria y aliviar el hambre en todo el estado. La inseguridad alimentaria afecta a aproximadamente uno de cada diez hogares en Nueva York.

“Fidelis Care está comprometido a promover la salud y el bienestar en nuestras comunidades locales. Además de los 20 beneficiarios de subvenciones para la inseguridad alimentaria, Fidelis Care distribuyó microsubvenciones a 50 organizaciones en todo el estado para ayudar a proporcionar comidas saludables a los residentes necesitados durante la temporada navideña de 2023.

El novedoso programa de evaluación de SDoH de Fidelis Care se lanzó hace dos años como una iniciativa de equidad en la salud comunitaria para abordar las condiciones en el entorno donde las personas nacen, viven, trabajan y juegan que afecta a su salud, bienestar y calidad de vida. Los SDoH pueden determinar una gran variedad de riesgos y consecuencias sobre la salud, particularmente entre las poblaciones vulnerables y en zonas de pocos recursos.

El programa de evaluación permite que los representantes de Fidelis Care capacitados puedan valorar las necesidades inmediatas de las personas y los desafíos relacionados con los SDoH por medio de unas cuantas preguntas que abarcan aspectos como el acceso al transporte, la alimentación y la vivienda segura y protegida. Hasta la fecha, han participado más de 450,000 miembros de Fidelis Care.

The following sections of the Fidelis Care authorization grids have been updated effective October 1, 2024.   The following has been added to the Medicare, Medicaid, Essential Plan, and Ambetter By Fidelis Care Metal-Level Products Authorization Grids and requires prior authorization:   Behavioral Health - Outpatient services: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) - Covered; Authorization Required for CPT Codes 90867, 90868 and 90869            Requests for members can be made by email qhcmbh@fideliscare.org, fax (833-561-0098) or by calling 1-888-FIDELIS (1-888-343-3547) and following the prompts for Behavioral Health, or dialing extension 16072.                                 Members over 18 years old may be eligible for this service when TMS is administered using an FDA-cleared

Fidelis Care’s Pharmacy Services would like to provide clarification on how medications are covered under member’s medical and pharmacy benefits.   Medications Covered Under Fidelis Care Medical Benefit Physician Administered Drugs – medications administered to a member during the course of an outpatient visit Providers obtain medication via “buy-and-bill” or shipment to their practice site from a vendor of their choosing. Coverage is dictated by Fidelis Care Authorization Grids, Prior Authorization Lookup Tool and/or Evolent Specialty Services (formerly NCH) Authorization Grids (Oncology Regimen Specific).
