Hazard Planning and Disaster Response Training for Community Health Centers

Fidelis Care would like to invite our providers to take advantage of the upcoming training opportunities offered through Healthcare Ready (HcR), a strategic partner of Centene Corporation.   The HcR project, ARCHER (Advancing Resilience for Community Health in Emergency Response), is funded by the Centene Foundation for Quality Healthcare and is aimed at increasing all hazards planning and preparation for community health centers to improve resilience and rapid recovery in response to disasters.

Engaging and Strengthening Partnerships Webinar

Date: Wednesday, March 30, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm ET via Zoom

Overview: This training will provide staff with an understanding of partnerships in practice, as well as an overview of how to increase engagement with various partners across federal, state, and local public health, NGOs, and private sector industry. The training will include a partnership mapping exercise in which staff will identify how current partners support the mission of their organization; a scenario-based discussion in which staff will retroactively assess how partnerships supported their response to a past disaster; and a discussion on strategies to leverage and engage state VOADs during a disaster.

Crisis Standards of Communication Webinar

Overview: This training will provide staff with information and skills that can be used to improve the systems and protocols that allow their organization to efficiently communicate during a disaster. The 1-hour long webinar will equip staff with:

  1. An understanding of the common challenges associated with crisis communications that typically arise during a disaster,
  2. Tips to developing a comprehensive communication plan that complies with Federal and state laws, and
  3. Enhanced knowledge of ways that staff can best coordinate with partner organizations in their region, state, or local areas.

The training will provide an overview of best practices in communication considerations with various partners during a crisis, including local healthcare partners, government partners, NGOs, and patients.
