Megan Woodward, Fidelis Care Vice President, Retention,
and Melanie Catalfano-Marventano, East Hill Practice Administrator, spoke about
the importance of people maintaining their health coverage.
Woodward
said, “The most important thing for people to understand is the renewal rules
are changing for Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus, and the Essential
Plan. If you don’t act, you risk losing your health insurance. There are three
really important things that you can do right now. Make sure Fidelis Care has
your
updated contact information. When you get
your renewal notice in the mail, act right away. And if you need help,
call us, visit us online, or check out a community-based office for help today.”
Catalfano-Marventano
said, “Our main message is to update your contact information, come to your
annual physical to get the preventive care you need, and build those
relationships with your providers and the staff here. We can help you outside
of the exam room. We have a great relationship with organizations in the
community. We can help you with Fidelis Care and your insurance renewals. We
have referrals we can get you for housing, food insecurity, domestic violence,
and the list just goes on.”
Fidelis Care representatives also were on
site to assist individuals with their health coverage questions. Fidelis Care
is on site at East Hill Medical Center every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
from 10 AM to 2 PM. To find Fidelis Care events near you, visit
