Every third Monday of January, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day to honor a monumental leader who fought for justice and equality. Dr. King strived to make sure everyone, no matter their background, has the same opportunities in life. This included having access to quality healthcare, which he believed was one of the most important ways to achieve fairness.   The Fidelis Care ‘Veggies to Go’ program distributed 1,895 bags of healthy food to individuals and families in need during its 2024 season. That adds up to a total nearly 80,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables given away since the program began in 2022. Durante este Mes de la Herencia Hispana, Latinos Unidos of the Hudson Valley reconoce que los problemas de salud son algunos de los desafíos más importantes que enfrenta la comunidad hispana.
