Beginning March 1, 2024, non-emergency medical transportation services for members enrolled in a Medicaid Advantage Plus will be arranged by the Statewide Transportation Broker - Medical Answering Services (MAS) and covered by Medicaid Fee-For-Service.   To arrange non-emergency medical transportation on or after March 1, 2024, the provider or the member must contact MAS at https://www.medanswering.com/ or call 844-666-6270 (Downstate) or 866-932-7740 (Upstate). If possible, transportation arrangements should be made at least three days before the medical appointment.  MAS will require the provider or member to provide the appointment information (date, time, address, and name of provider) and the member’s Medicaid identification

Fidelis Care will be hosting an educational webinar series for our Health Home partners entitled “Wellness 360 for Health Homes: Special Populations”. Health Homes provide community-based care management for Medicaid recipients with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions. Beginning March 2, 2024, current enrollees in Qualified Health Plans (Ambetter from Fidelis Care) who are within 200-250% FPL will be notified via letter from NY State of Health about the expansion of Essential Plan coverage in New York State. Members that now qualify for Essential Plan coverage will automatically be moved from their Qualified Health Plan to Essential Plan 200-250, effective April 1, 2024. Fidelis Care is prepared to support our members and providers throughout this transition and will communicate frequently with those affected.
