As of March 1, 2024, non-emergency medical transportation services for members enrolled in a Medicaid Advantage Plus or MLTC plan are now arranged by the Statewide Transportation Broker - Medical Answering Services (MAS) and covered by Medicaid Fee-For-Service.
Please note: Transportation to and from Social Adult Day Care (SADC) facilities will continue to be covered by Fidelis Care if the transportation is provided by the SADC. All other forms of transportation would need to be arranged using the information below and would be covered by Medicaid Fee-For-Service.
To arrange non-emergency medical transportation, the provider or member must contact MAS:
- For members residing in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, and Westchester counties providers or members should call 1-844-666-6270.
- For members in all other counties providers or members should call 1-866-932-7740.
Providers and members can also access to the MAS online portal to arrange transportation at https://www.medanswering.com.
If possible, transportation arrangements should be made at least three days before the medical appointment. MAS will require the provider or member to provide the appointment information (date, time, address, and name of provider) and the member’s Medicaid identification number.
Members who are dissatisfied with transportation services, can file a complaint directly with MAS by phone or online at: https://www.medanswering.com.
Additional information is available on the Department of Health Transportation Webpage.
